Pro-rector Inger Askehave started her speech with statistics of this summer’s admission of students. 1.370 new students were admitted at Aalborg University in Copenhagen, and 1 out of 5 students is international. Thereby does Campus Copenhagen now accommodate a total of 4.000 students.

After the welcoming, the tutors followed the students to their class, where they received introduction and practical information. The tutors had furthermore planned teambuilding activities, and along the quay students were seen playing rock, scissor and paper and other games in order to get to know each other better.

As the day proceeded, the students gathered to hang out at the quay, where it was possible to go on a harbor trip – to Christianshavn and back again.

There were happy days, colorful clothing and singing further down the quay, where tutors from the study programme Learning and Innovative Change had arranged for the Danish-Tanzanian dancing group Ikumbo to entertain and get the students moving. The dancing group was accompanied by drums, there were sung Swahili songs and people danced around in a circle.

The day finished with the event Lounge Party, there on the actual day sold out all 800 tickets. The music was delivered by the DJ duo Reveal and Baunbaun.
