ACCOMODATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STAFF

Employment at AAU CPH carries no guarantee of accommodation. Thus it is future employees themselves, and where applicable the employees’ host departments, who are responsible for finding accommodation.

Aalborg University owns no temporary or permanent accommodation for international staff on campus in Copenhagen. Furthermore, Aalborg University cannot enter into a rental contract with a landlord on behalf of an international member of staff. Below you can read about what accommodation options are available.

ACCOMMODATION ADMINISTERED BY AAU CPH

AAU CPH has access to a small number of residences that we rent out for a maximum period of 12 months at a time.

Read more about these residences on our website.

If you would like to apply for one of these residences on behalf of an international member of staff or an international Ph.D. student, please fill out this form. We also recommend that you follow the Step-by-step Guide to ensure that you understand the application process and requirements.

SHORT-TERM ACCOMMODATION

Are you looking for short-term accommodation? If so, it might interest you to know that AAU has cooperation agreements with a number of hotels close to campus in the Sydhavn quarter of Copenhagen. Some international staff also make use of hostels, and it is worth mentioning that the Generator Hostel on Adelgade offers a 10% discount to AAU staff. Read more about our hotel agreements above.

LONG-TERM ACCOMMODATION

The International Accommodation Office at AAU CPH regularly receives enquiries and requests regarding long-term or permanent rented accommodation for coming international staff. We are very happy to offer guidance on how to find accommodation in Copenhagen, but due to a lack of resources it must be emphasized that we cannot assist in searching for specific rented accommodation for individual members of staff.
