How to find key actors – descriptive quantitative methods

On 29 March 2017 the third event in the Open Research Seminar Calender 2017 will be held. The event is presented by Christoph Houman Ellersgaard, assistant professor at the Department of Business and Politics at CBS.

29.03.2017 kl. 16.15 - 18.00

A key competent in understanding the importance of texts and actions lies in understanding the position from which they originate. The access to much more information about key actors - as part of the evolution of 'big data' - allows researchers to explore the relating position of different actors and organizations.

Using his own research on elites as point of departure, Ellersgaard will describe how descriptive quantitative methods such as social network analysis, correspondence analysis and sequence analysis can help us map how actors are related to one another.

The event is open for everybody.
