What happens when Virtual Reality meets the film industry? Do you have a vision for this? Then join this challenge, meet experts from the film industry, expand your professional network, develop your visionary ideas, win prizes - and maybe start a future career?
20.03.2017 kl. 14.00 - 26.03.2017 kl. 19.00
We invite you to the NIMBUS FILM VR STUDENT CHALLENGE 2017 from March 20th to March 26th.
At this week-long spare-time challenge you will work in small teams with fellow students in order to create VR concepts. The concepts can be based on new ideas or Nimbus Film’s existing fictional universes such as THE BRIDGE, THE ANTBOY-TRILOGY or THE CELEBRATION (Festen).
The challenge will kick-off Monday the 20th of March in the afternoon with an introduction to the challenge. In the late afternoons/evenings of the following days, you will be presented with various talks by experts from the industry and inspirational events which will introduce you to some of the opportunities and potential of transforming film ideas to VR business concepts.
At the end of the week you will be working intensely to finish your concept in order to present your ideas to a professional Jury on Sunday the 26th of March. VR equipment will be available during the challenge for trying out ideas in case you want it but the jury will make their decision based on the best ideas and concepts - not productions.
Who can participate? We encourage people from different fields to apply and you don't need to know everything about VR before the challenge. You can apply as groups or individuals, and we can help teaming you up.
The application link is open from February 1st until March 10th. We process the applications as they come in and we only got 50 spots so don't wait too long.
